All your Supreme Court appointees are belong to the base

Thanks to savvy readers with Wingnut Decoder Rings, on this site and elsewhere clueless liberals and lefties have lately learned that when George Bush says “Dred Scott” he means “Roe v. Wade.”

As a public service, therefore, this blog is making available the translation key that will allow us sane people to understand just what your friendly neighborhood Christian fundamentalist jihadists are talking about when they cite important Supreme Court cases:

Dred Scott v. Sandford = Roe v. Wade
Plessy v. Ferguson = Roe v. Wade
Korematsu v. United States = Roe v. Wade
Loving v. Virginia = Roe v. Wade
Marbury v. Madison = Roe v. Wade
Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States = Roe v. Wade
Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius v. Acme Manufacturing Co. = Roe v. Wade
Roe v. Wade = Lawrence v. Texas

  2. And so when Clarence Thomas says he’s never heard of Roe v. Wade much less formulated an opinion about it, this means?  Answer: He’s just the kind of jurist the Bush Administration is looking for.
