  1. It’s hard to read anything about the Inauguration today. Even reading something by you entails acceptance that there is going to be four more years of this unthinking, greedy, ideologically myopic Administration with an alarming tolerance for violence. Hell, Condi was actually pointed in her refusal to condemn torture. I did tune in to the swearing in, but only because I thought there was an (albeit outside) chance that when Bush placed his hand on the Bible he would burst into flame and melt (like in that cool scene at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie). But it didn’t happen.

  3. Okay Michael, the Lithium kicked in and I’m feeling better than yesterday. I think the line “a God whistle only I can hear” a stroke of genius. Thanks for the laugh.  I’m pretty sure it’s four stripes too.

  4. uh...what happens if i start to HEAR that Dog Whistle of God myself? will that mean the brainwashing is complete? will i at least get a Happy Xanax Smile like Laura has? will i then Follow gently where He Leads? will i cheer the bursting bombs and the rockets’ red glare?

    holding onto my anger like a tiny, sharp grain of sand that must at length produce a Pearl (for now it is more of a Life-Saving Flotation Device, an Anti Kool-Aid Force Field,)
